Absolutely fantastic Chevvy! Our congrats to Nick - what a super job!
The neighbours must get so much enjoyment from this display and people passing by too.
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU BOTH and all the best for 2013.
I have started a thread for Favourite Xmas Decorations as I wanted to show you my Angels and didn't want to steal your thread. I hope others will add to it.

Merry Christmas, Chevvy. The lights look fantastic. Puts me to shame. We haven't even got our Christmas tree up yet. I've hardly had time to draw breath over the last 3 weeks, though, with crazy work schedule. I'm working Christmas Eve and Boxing Day too.

Re: Merry Christmas :) from both of US

Hi and thanks to you all for popping in ... here are a few more. The first has my three favorites in,
the Rocking Horse; the Juggling Snowman and the three presents

and this one, the IGLOO - made my the children collecting 1800 2pt and 1600 1pt plastic milk bottles from September and held together with
builders foam (used for sealing around exit dishwasher and washing machine wastes).
Sadly, in 2011 it suffered severe "subsidence" and had to go, in bits to the re cycling plant

Here it is, 8ft diameter and 4 ft high, with a proper floor, and Nick made the "Ice Rink" from 2 sheets of 8 x 6 ft ply - covered it with tin foil and then sticky back vinyl.
The edge was 1m wide and 1" deep wadding to look like snow, but here it is snowed on and the rope light under the wadding shows through Inside is a "Mushroom" DISCO light

The children played in this for 11 months a year in the garden for 8 years a bargain Toy and the BEST Christmas Light ever

.
.

More to come over the next few days ... massive waterfalls ...
