Thames Tallships festival.

It wasn't as sunny as I wanted but great to see these on the Thames at Greenwich.

and some characters

The Admiral

the boat-builder

and the ratings.

on for the next two days, well worth a visit. Shame it would have made a great place for a meet up.

Re: Thames Tallships festival.

That light does't look too bad, for 1, 4 and 5 (1 is my favourite BTW), so not a bad set. This is why I never holiday in the UK. You just can rely on the weather and the weather forecasts.

Re: Thames Tallships festival.

Went yesterday. Had this great idea to shoot the ships as they passed by Canary Warf....lost all the rigging detail in the back ground. Ah well live and learn.

I'd rate them pretty highly, and the photos are pretty good too
Looks like a good day out despite the lack of sunshine.

What sort of a salute is that!
I like the Portway tug and the admiral shot.

Lovely shots Andy. Nr 2 (and The Ratings of course) is my favourite.

Thank you for your replies, the ratings were on stilts and about 12 foot tall
