Arrow Pad and OK Button

What is everybody's technique for using the Arrow Pad and OK Button?

Despite having very small hands and fingers but I find it very difficult to operate these items without using my thumbnail. I can't press the OK Button at all with my thumb as it is too deeply recessed and if I try to press the arrow keys with my thumb I often end up touching something else as well. This is especially annoying when I am trying to navigate through the menus or recorded images when I inadvertently keep switching it back to the SCP.

I suppose it must be my own clumsiness but does anyone else have this problem and, if so, what are your techniques for overcoming it?

Ron

Re: Arrow Pad and OK Button

I find you have to press the insides of the arrows rather than the top edges, so it seems to reduce accidental presses. No problems with the OK button.

Re: Arrow Pad and OK Button

Actually, I have just noticed that my thumbnail is rather long. Perhaps cutting it would make operating the OK Button easier. I have quite a bit of arthritis in my fingers and thumb, too, which doesn't help.

I don't know how I would have coped with the smaller, more cramped buttons on the E-M5.

That should help Ron, I have reasonably large hands but haven't had an issue myself.
