Think I might as well sell the lawn mower and buy a boat.

Re: Rain Rain & More Rain.

I'm wondering if our water company would allow me to use the hose - for siphoning excess water out of my garden!

Re: Rain Rain & More Rain.

We now no longer have a ban from Thames water, which is good. They seem to be wasting a fair amount still.

The rain for me was a welcome break from hayfever

Re: Rain Rain & More Rain.

It is a new season in the UK - called the Monsoons

WE get grey winter, mixed spring, monsoon (incorporating Wimbledon and the Olympics) then back to school for decent weather and then grey weather until winter. Sometimes it gets even greyer.

Re: Rain Rain & More Rain.

I remember reading a letter in The Times from a vicar in Northumbria who said that the weather up there for 3 months of the year was wet, windy and cold.
The rest of the year was winter...
I know how he feels.

Re: Rain Rain & More Rain.

FWIW: what didn't went down over Britain is now pouring down on my place! And if it goes on like it did the last 24h, I guess, I should be able to take a pic like yours by tomorrow. The amount of water already had made me worrying
