Hi Simon,

150 f2 safely arrived, and very well packed - thanks.

In excellent condition as expected.

Looking forward to working with the 'trio'.

All best,

Thanks Peter. So the R system is no more. I suppose the lenses can be adapted for other cameras. I didn't like the body I used in the mid 80's but some of the glass was very nice.

Panasonic make an adapter for mounting R-series lenses on micro Four-Thirds, as does SRB. Having no knowledge of the R series, I have no idea whether or not this would be ergonomically practical.

Indeed they do Peter and I have one available for a great price as new they cost around £200.00 and usual S'H prices hover around £120.00.

Leica also made one for "R" lenses to be mounted on regular 4/3 bodies, it is quite rare as they only made 1000 for worldwide distribution. Again I have one of these available too.

See here:-

http://e-group.uk.net/forum/showthread.php?t=34227

Ergonomically they both work well IMO.

Cheers, Simon

Ok,

The 50mm Macro has been paid for and thus sold so all that's remaining are the

1) em1
2) RF11 Ringflash System

I am inclined to 'keep' the em1 unless I get an offer of £725.00 as it really is worth that figure and although I have now switched back to film for the main I would still like to have a digital body 'to hand'.

Any 'takers' at the asking prices?

Cheers, Simon

Re: Selling my 90-250 F2.8 ! £2k + postage

After much consideration I have decided to keep the em1. Although I am shooting far more film at present the em1 is such a great "digital" camera I believe I will only regret "letting it go for a song".

I admit I prefer the look of film and am more in tune with it, but there is just 'something' about the em1 that has connected with me far more than any other digital camera I have previously owned and I do believe it has a valid place in my kit bag.

I am using two lenses with my M6 TTL ..... 35 & 75 Summicron's which of course I can also use with the em1. So I may well purchase a Pana/Leica 15mm F1.7 as a 'standard wide' for the em1 and use the two Summicron's for telephoto purposes. B&W film in the M6 ( B&W on film is still better IMO ) and the em1 for colour.

Also this is such a great forum and I so enjoy being a part of it, I would not want to fall into a habit of rarely contributing therefore keeping an Olympus digital camera will ensure my continued partaking here is relevant. And I do so enjoy using Olympus cameras too, I love my OM4Ti and 35SP, and those Zuiko's ....ohhhh .... lovely

So the final items listed, namely the em1 and ring flash system are no longer available, I am going to put them to use instead

Thank you to everyone who has bought the various lenses etc that I advertised in this post, I trust that you are all delighted.

Regards, Simon
