Lightroom 6.13 available

For users of the 'perpetual' (i.e. paid for) version of Lightroom - it has now been updated to v6.13.

The download/install can be done in the usual way - without being forced into the CC/Classic CC upgrade. Go to "installed Apps" in Adobe Creative Cloud and select "Lightroom CC(2015)".

LR6.13 adds support for the E-M10 mkIII

Re: Lightroom 6.13 available

Thanks for that and be warned before doing the upgrade. I did the upgrade thinking it was an upgrade to my standalone version and yes it uninstalled my paid for LR. Then DO NOT DO THIS I uninstalled the Classic I had to go back to the LR download version 6.0 to re install and then do all the updates.

How I hate Adobe's marketing ploys but I love LR. I cannot justify the subscription as I do not use LR enough to justify it. More importantly if and when the time comes I do not want to continue messing with images and stop the subscription will I lose the whole of my LR catalogue, I think I would? Adobe just seem to love screwing users for more money.

John,
Suggest you look at this post from Victoria Bamford’s blog and particularly scroll down to the section titled “What happens if I cancel my subscription”
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/end-o...room-licenses/
Note that the above relates to Lightroom Classic CC - because the catalogue remains on your PC.

Re: Lightroom 6.13 available

Thanks for the link Chris had not seen that before. It may help but I remain skeptical being of a certain age. I think its because I may not use LR for a month or two and the thought of paying a subscription for something I am not using does not suit my careful financial management being on a pension.

I upgraded the standalone version 6 in August 2016 for Ł59.09 and that was because I had brought a OMD EM5mkII, it would have cost me a lot more if I had a subscription. I only use the very basic tools for editing my images which I had taken in RAW. Of late I have started to take my images in jpg because LR required a few steps to get the colour as good as the jpg. It seems I have to set camera Calibration to camera natural or vivid etc. I know there ways round this when importing but LR is getting just too many bells and whistles to operate and that's coming from someone with one of the most sophisticated camera's on the market EM1 mkII. I would not want to upgrade until i change the camera and need to develop in raw by which time I will switch away from LR.
