Not a good day.....many pix

.....the only full day I get out this week and it was damp and dull. However, I wasn't the only one - I'll keep that pic 'til last

I couldn't seem to get my exposure spot on - I really must learn to take and pp in RAW.

Bluebells at Ashridge Forest - on their last legs, but holding.
1.

2.

3.

4.

I really went to find the deer and I have to confess when I found them I had the wrong lens on to begin with. There were about four different herds most having a good scratch - possibly loaded with ticks.
1. Hiding.

2. Suddenly they were off.

3.

4. Some look pretty heavy - ready to give birth.

Ashridge Management College.

As I said earlier I wasn't the only one having a bad day.

Regards. Barr1e

A place I keep meaning to go to, to shoot the Bluebells, etc.

For such a "Grey" day I think you have done well with them.

You just know that someone is going to make a quip about "burned out hi-lites"

Hi Ken and Keith -

Thanks for commenting.

I have always enjoyed that particular area shown in pic 4 of the forest. In fact I have an entry in for the E-30 challenge showing the same scene under snow. Just waiting for the scrutineers to finish checking the entries and voting before the next part of members voting on the final set.

Hi Barr1e

Nice set of shots looks like you had a good day despite the weather, No4 is certianly a winner in my book

I would mention the burned out highlights but I see that Graham beat me to it so I won't

I think they all look good, there is something to be said living in england with the 4 seasons. I do like the picture of the burnt out truck I hope the animals were ok.

Re: Not a good day.....many pix

They are all a nice set - yes, you are pushing exposure with a lighter sky and overshadowed ground. And shot raw you could have bought back some of the sky/branch detail.

Nice photos though.

Re: Not a good day.....many pix

Neil - Thanks - re highlights, I was thinking of getting mine done. As my patch has thinned so much I don't think I'll bother.

grumpy - I agree regarding the 4 seasons. I have not as yet seen a report regarding the lorry fire, ill keep my eyes peeled for the item.

Johngg - Many thanks, I hope all is well with you two.

Nick - Thanks to you too. As regards Raw I tried earlier in the week trying to get to grips processing them. I got somewhat lost - perhaps in the forest at Ashridge.

Bill - Oh gosh, I'm blushing now. Thanks.

Just a reminder to all, I am rather short of entries in the fruit challenge. You are all welcome to submit one: http://e-group.uk.net/forum/showthread.php?t=5326

Regards. Barr1e
