Yes a lovely capture........Young have the Red cap ...male red on nape with female no red on head.

Great behavior shot.

A couple of decades ago there was a theory that you could sex Great Spot juveniles by the size of their red cap. I don't know if it was ever researched to be proved/disproved.

Thank you, Tordan.

I used E-5 + 70-300mm + camera flash.
For the light I had in that session, 50-200mm was better but I did not had it with me.
