Down loading pictures!

This morning I went out with my E5, I took around 34 pictures. Whan I came to download hem through the cable to my computer to adobe Pshop elements 10 the first twent downloaded ok but the last 14 refused to download though I could see the raw files in the camera and the pictures were viewable on the camera screen. I tried to download them in Olympus software, again I could see them but the would not download they look fine on the camera screen. but I cannot get them off. Needles to say these are the best of the day..any ideas. I tried using a card reader and changed the battert etc??????????????

Re: Down loading pictures!

Have you "protected" them, or edited them in-camera or anything else.

Try copying the whole folder from the card to the PC

Good luck

Have you tried copy and pasting them.Open the camera file, highlight the files you want and do a control C.Then go to the destination file and do a control V .

Re: Down loading pictures!

Hi, I think that for some reason there was a faulty picture 2/3rds of the way through, I took the Compact flash card our and accesed it on a lap top top and deleted the first file that wouldn't open. The remainder open ok after that. I re-formated the card and took a few shots which seemed fine..Its just a mystery as to what happened to make one shot faulty. They were all taken in raw?

Re: Down loading pictures!

It was apperantly just one faulty picture that stopped the others from downloaded, after deleting that o the card the rest downloaded correctly. Can't imagine what caused it and I have used the camera today with no repitition???

Re: Down loading pictures!

You didn't power the camera down whilst it was still writing the file? I've accidentally done that once or twice. The camera should wait till it's finished writing, but sometimes it don't!

Re: Down loading pictures!

Stephen, I don't think so, It was set on highspeed continuous at thetime to catcj a loco coming towards me. I think the first one hwas ok, it was just one that was somehow corrupted-after I deleted that one the rest downloaded ok-twas very worrying at the time-it goes without saying the corrupted one would have been the best one.
