E-1 Infrared - Sunday afternoon walk

It was such a nice day today I thought that I would go for a walk with my IR E-1. Not really ideal IR conditions as a lot of the trees have not sprouted this years leaves but I thought I would post a few shots.

As ever, your honest thoughts are really appreciated.

Cheers

Chris

Re: E-1 Infrared - Sunday afternoon walk

What with Ian getting an E-PL1 converted for IR, there looks to be a growth in this forgotten technique.

#3 & #4 are my choice with the contrails providing real interest in the sky.

IR is so hard to visualise but the advantage of it now being instantly available provides for a wider interest in this very different technique and style.

Is that path in the last one the result of funding cuts

Lovely.
My only reservation are the contrails, they become very obvious with IR and my eye keeps going to them, which is such a shame with such lovely views.

Dear Shirley,

I had better come to some arrangement with the Heathrow air traffic controllers!

Cheers

Shouldn't be a problem should it?

A nice set, Chris. Graham likes the contrails, I don't, but that's just personal preference. The last one really does it for me, despite the path seemingly comming to an abrupt end, as Graham alludes.

Re: E-1 Infrared - Sunday afternoon walk

A lovely set of pictures.

I've got an IR filter, somewhere 'safe', but it seems to have gone to the same place as my big CF card!
