I print to an Epson Stylus Pro 3800 and get really good results on Epson Premium Glossy and Epson Premium Semi Gloss. I also use matte papers when I need to and get results that are as expected. I haven't used print to file for use with labs - I would probably send an exported sRGB JPEG after editing in LR.

Re: Adobe officially launches Lightroom 3 today

One problem I am having with LR 3 is instability with the Library filters (for searching images). Often LR will crash a few seconds after opening the filter bar.

My catalogue has nearly 60,000 images, but it's stable on LR 2.7.

I've seen some other references to this problem - has anyone experienced it here?

It's fine on my laptop, which has a much smaller catalogue.

Re: Adobe officially launches Lightroom 3 today

i know this sounds rather daft but to upgrade from the free trial lightroom 3 beta 2 to the new version, can get away with the upgrade button or do i need to buy the full version.

You need to buy the full version, the upgrade will only work if you have the full version of Lightroom 1 or 2 on your computer.
