Animation software

I just wondered if anyone has any recommendations for stop frame animation software, preferably free.
My daughter has to make a short film for her art course.I have used Picasa which is very easy to use and with reasonable results but it seems you can only put one music track on it.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Animation software

Have you tried Monkeyjam ? It is a free download and can be used to take pictures via a web cam or digital camera. Not sure about sound tracks though !

Serif Draw also lets you create animations and there used to be a free download of one of the older versions.

Web links below. Hope this helps and not too late.
