Was yesterday the greyest day efer ???

Went out with the 520 yesterday...first time in ages due to work and other boring stuff
I don't think I remember such a grey day....the light was flat and grey, the sea was flat and grey.... no shadows, no highlights, no contrast ...just GREY
Een the people walking their dogs were wearing grey
I don't remember a day with such a scarcity of colour !
Tried a few shots in B&W and efen they came out gray
I tried to get a few shots of the grey seals but you couldn't make them out against the grey background.....

The end lol

Bright sunshine, town packed with visitors and main street full of stalls for Christmas Fair. Street entertainment , bands etc.

You live in the wrong place!

Hate to tell you this, Phil, but at Dunmow (not a million miles from you) the sun broke through at about 1.30pm and we had an afternoon of blue skies and sharp, autumnal light!

Phil, you may take comfort from the fact that I went out for a walk while it was still grey and didn't bother to take my camera....... Of course, I saw several scenes that looked really nice in that crisp sunlight!

Phil, I know what you mean Just popped into Winchester and its grey cloud; grey buildings and miserable faces on people dressed in drab clothing - I wore my very RED Coachmans longs coat with black velvet cuffs and Collar and just now watching the news from Sofia ... grey cloud, grey buildings, drab colour clothing except one little girl in a RED coat

I tend to almost hibernate my camera gear this time of year ...

Re: Was yesterday the greyest day efer ???

I took a shot and it too looked so grey, I even pressed the button that counts the colours in the image and there were very few.

Maybe we should post our pictures in a collection called "64 shades of grey"
