"Pimp my Pen"

Oh no... they've "blinged" a camera!

This is a "must have" accessory to any hand-bag, and will match most outfits...

Re: "Pimp my Pen"

I want one of those! No danger of being mistaken as a serious photographer - with one of those you'd get away with taking pictures of almost anything.

Re: "Pimp my Pen"

Think of the marketing opportunities

The "Desert storm" - covered in Sand
The "Cricketers" - covered in astroturf
The "Barbie" - covered in pink fluff
The "Airfix" - You get your own tube of glue and plastic crystals
The "Football Supporters" - covered in swearwords

Come on there must be more ..

Regards
Andy

Re: "Pimp my Pen"

How about 'The Weapons of Mass Destruction' covered in 'nothing at all' (which is apparently what you would expect to find).

Well I thought it was funny. I'll try to think of some more.

Re: "Pimp my Pen"

How about the "Nikon Experience" - thick metal plates welded on to make it bigger and heavier!

Or the "Canon Experience" - the lens replaced by a milk bottle.

Surely the"Canon Experience" aught to come with genuine bullshit, maybe with a spare tub so they can replenish at need.

But I'm old, I can remember when a ford escort sports edition was an aspirational car.

Re: "Pimp my Pen"

There are others:-

The "Kids Have Had It" look - covered in jam and Play-Doh.

The "Leica Experience" - exactly the same as a standard E-P1 but you pay three times the price. Oh, but you do get an extra little red dot on the front...

The "Holga Experience" - same lens as the Canon but body made out of cheaper plastic with authentic light leaking gaps.

The "Vanity" - with a mirror instead of an LCD screen.

The "Street Photographer" - covered in black insulation tape.

The "Terrorist" - only works when pointed at sensitive subjects....like trains, planes and automibiles, dockyards, department stores, police stations, roads, bridges, government buildings, tourist attractions, power stations, oil refineries, your local high street......anything really.

The "Seventies" - fluffy dice hanging from the strap lugs, a vinyl top plate and a self adhesive tinted strip along the front with "Trev" on one side and "Sharon" on the other.

Any more?

And I had one. No longer did I aspire - I'd arrived!

You old boy racer.... nowadays you are a married man so I wont ask for the tales (except maybe over a pint).

About that time I was driving around in an old Peugot 30?, no credability but great suspension and an engine that could go years without maintenance.

Re: "Pimp my Pen"

The Tree Hugger - covered in wood
The Hippie - covered in flowers
The Sentimentalist - comes in an OM2 body
The Legacy - comes in an OM2 body and has the OM mount
The Damien H - comes in two halves with coloured spots and you have to click it together to get to to work.

Re: "Pimp my Pen"

'The Secretary of State' - a nice humbug style stripe

'The Official Opposition' - any random selection of 3 or 4 ill matched patterns
