A long harvest ?

I saw this about 2 years ago next to a country lane I use very infrequently and thought it would make a good photograph. I expected it to have moved at some point since then. So it was a pleasant surprise to see it still sitting there as I passed by this morning. Decided to try a couple of images even though I was supposed to be somewhere else soon. I will have to go back and try some more when there are clouds in the sky or I can put some kind of context in view, although I must admit to liking the light this morning. A slight lightning of the shadows and unsharp mask are the only PP.

Also tried a black and white treatment.

Memo to self - go back and take the photographs don't think everything moves on.

Re: A long harvest ?

It must still be in use, unless the glass is the self cleaning type.

Look forward to seeing some more shots of the harvester. I enjoy taking agricultural machinery too.

Regards. Barr1e

Re: A long harvest ?

I see it has a tax index for North Shields in about 1980.
No doubt considered too small now perhaps.

Re: A long harvest ?

I like them both, but I'm not sure that they needed shadow recovery as I think these type of things look very good when in harsh shadows

BYW I think it's quite reasonable to think this is still in use. My father in Law rebuilds vintage tractors for a hobby and when you see the state of the things he starts with, this would be considered almost too good to be true

Regards
Andy

Hi,

Great shots though I would like to have a go at an HDR version.
