Shooting old style - using a new to me Pen F. I like the amplification of the noise to signal ratio (n/s).

Re: Feel the grain, baby!

We should do a friendly competition- Tri X on a Pen F vs digital "olde worlde" processing from an image from a Pen Fd.

I have an image front the Pen Fd not too dissimilar to your shot of the lamp. I've give it the beans in LR and post the result. May the best man win!

There's a guy at 'my' camera club who says he can reproduce the film look using photoshop. Well terrific, I say, and I'm sure with time and dedication he could produce a photograph, pixel by pixel, without the need of a camera, like painting by numbers.

Re: Feel the grain, baby!

I'm unconvinced by "digital grain". Somehow it doesn't have the look of the real stuff - and being a fan of Agfa Rodinal film developer I'm very familiar with that!
