Looking for improvement This is the e-group critique board. If you post a picture here it will be assumed that you are looking for comprehensive technical feedback - both good and bad, but always respectful. Only post pictures here if you can deal with potentially negative constructive criticism. Anyone is qualified to comment and post feedback, and everyone is encouraged to do so. NB: "Looking for Improvement" is the place to post any pictures you would like advice on improving, no matter how bad you might think they are.

The hill



I liked the grouping of people on the sand dune but wonder whether I should have changed lenses to get a longer focal length shot with the people more prominent. ButI quite like the impression of space and height even if it is only at Formby Point on the Sefton coast.

Yes I think I would have changed lenses Jeff and got closer if the people were your main focus. Otherwise for this shot then I think I'd be tempted to crop the rhs to put the people on a thirds point. Or even crop the lhs to do similar. Either make a different viewpoint not necessarily better than yours but just different. You could also ignore the rules and do a narrow centralish vertical crop too. I'm no expert either but just a few thoughts.
