An Infra red day out (Image heavy)

Hi everyone!

I went out for a walk on Monday having overslept and missed out on the chance to meet up at the photography show, so to make up for it I took my full spectrum E-420 out for a walk about and a few pictures.

I took a few at New Brighton:-

1.

2.

3. (This one is the colour an OOC jpeg comes out with an 850nm filter on - it just seemed to suit the image.)

And then I went on to Leasowe for a different lighthouse

4.

And then on up to Bidston Hill, this time with my spaniels

5.

6.

7.

8. A view across to Liverpool

And finally down to seacombe ferry to catch the last of the light shining on Liverpool

9.

Thankyou for looking, I know this isn't in LFI but please make any comments you like (I need all the help I can get)

Cheers,

Ralph.

Re: An Infra red day out (Image heavy)

Hi there Wee man!

I'm sure I did miss a great show - I'm gutted but I think my bank manager (and wife) are relieved! As for the windmill - I was tempted to take one looking up from right underneath the sails, but the 14-42 wasn't wide enough and I hadn't packed my 10-20mm (still haven't tried that with IR to see if it has hot spots yet either).

Thanks for looking,

Cheers,

Ralph.

Smashing set Ralph. One stand out shot for me though... #1 it is corker. Great light, great composition, and great processing.

Re: An Infra red day out (Image heavy)

I really like the the windmill in #6 and being not a sky-scraper/-line person at all, I am a bit surprised that your #9 in fact does something to me ...

There are sunny days forcasted, so my Hoya IR720 may see some use. Thanks for the reminder to go IR again.

Re: An Infra red day out (Image heavy)

Now we have some blue skies at last it's definitely a good time for infra red - and also now the leaves are re-appearing.

If you would like to have a go yourself we do have an infra red converted Pen E-PL1 available for hire.

The windmill ones seem a step above the others, they really suit that extreme effect from the IR filter.
