AMAZON Shopping ?

I tend to go to FAVOURITES and click Amazon and go looking - often then looking else where but then going back to Amazon (for speedy delivery; price or colour etc.,)

I really do appreciate THIS FORUM and how Ian and his Mods "run a tight ship" thus making a wonderful "place to visit and share and learn"

SO, I have just been to 4/3rds and copied their Shopping page with Amazon on

http://fourthirds-user.com/buyers_guide.php

and Saved it in FAVOURITES as AMAZON - deleted my old Amazon and put this in its place.

SO THAT now when I do buy from AMAZON, they may not pay Taxes in the UK

BUT At least Ian gets some commission and that may help prolong the life of my two favourite Forums

YOU can do this too - please think about it and do it, if you can In the end, it will help all of us to remain that, US

Please leave a message and/or Thanks if you are going to - so that I and Ian can see the success of this

I think & HOPE that people see it in the LOUNGE for ALL PURCHASES at AMAZON - not just camera kit

Maybe another one as a sticky in For SALE would be a good idea - and Ian make that a Sticky ?

Would you like to start that one ?

Re: AMAZON Shopping ?

(edited to make clearer!)

I am not sure what I'm doing here, but as it happens last night I stumbled on an Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 45mm 1:1.8 Lenson Amazon for substantially less than the one in the above mentioned link.

Can it be linked?

Advice will be appreciated!

cheers,

Peter

Re: AMAZON Shopping ?

In the cold hard light of day, and having re-read the above post I'm not sure that my intentions were clear!

So I shall try again! I followed the FourThirds User/buyer guide link and tried specific search terms "Olympus 45mm f1.8" and "M.Zuiko f1.8 45mm" and did not get one 45mm f1.8 in the results! (both UK and outside UK).

I did find an amazing array of things not even photography related though.

My original comment re: £180 less was NOT correct and I have edited the post and apologise in advance! I had misread the $ sign! It's actually around £40 less, still a substantial saving though.

So my question - If you blokes have an Amazon Affiliates link that I can simply click on to get me to Amazon, I can buy the less expensive lens and you can still benefit. Can you point me in that direction please?

OK - sorry Midge (Peter?) - we're set up on the Amazon shop for the US and the UK. Looking at your profile, you are outside these regions. Can you be precise about where you are (and where delivery would be to) and I'll see if I can help you.

Yes, as Chevvy says, as long as you start a session from one of our Amazon shop pages you should still earn a commission for us for anything you buy although we earn a better rate from direct links to the item your want to buy.

Thanks Ian - I guess my location is problematic! I am currently in France, and move around a fair bit. In this case delivery would be to London, so I've been looking at Amazon UK.

Thanks,

Peter

The Amazon shops are geo-targeted and I am not exactly sure what you will see in France. But if you have found an item on Amazon UK, let me know the item and seller (if not from Amazon direct) price quoted and I will generate the correct page from our shop
