hello and err goodbye?

Hello olympus users.
big fan of the 4/3 format (and micro4/3) but unfortuneately i have to supply 60-100mb tiffs to clients so i have invested in another manufacturer who makes photocopiers and the odd camera.

thing is i'm one of those evil people who wants to join this forum to sell something

can't post an ad and don't want to fill the forum up with 6 random posts so does anyone know of any dealers that specialise in 4/3 kit so i can trade in? or a good place to sell other than ebay?

would happily donate something to the upkeep of the forum to be enable to post an ad but don't think that's possible?

Re: hello and err goodbye?

SRS microsystems will quote prices for second hand stuff, and they do sell gear from other manufacturers (the other microscope manufacturer, but not the photocopier people having just checked..)

As a hypothetical exercise you might mention the kind of stuff you might have for sale if only you had enough posts, as it were..

Re: hello and err goodbye?

thanks will check out SRS, think i have bought stuff from them before.
its a mint (less than 1500 shots) E-3 and 12-60 2.8 that i no longer use.
the tiffs are not big enough for my work and i have a m4/3 made by a microwave manufacturer as a non-work pocket camera

Re: hello and err goodbye?

You could start posting some of the pictures you must've taken already with your doomed camera & lenses ... that would up your postcount and entertain at the same time.
Before you know it you can SELL STUFF and spend the cash on Canon doodahs.

Re: hello and err goodbye?

I'm sure the 12-60 might find a good home somewhere on this forum.

Meanwhile I have a technique that gets me into most Pro photographers circles. It involves some printed card and some blutak.

You can always up interpolate your pictures to 100mB if that's what they want..

Lol I thought you were supposed to put black tape over the name?
My work is at. Garysmithphoto.com
But web jpegs mean you can't tell what was shot on 10x8 film or 10mp digital.
Some of the landscapes were taken on the E-3

Smiffy - Ricoh perhaps?... I hear today that they have bought Pentax! Interesting future I think. Not sure how they have been getting on so far

Re: hello and err goodbye?

I thought for a minute you meant Olympus had bought Pentax.??
Canon make printers/copiers too.

Pentax have a foot in the medium format market but until you can tether to a laptop and rent a spare body/lenses pro's will not take them seriously.
Dunno how Ricoh will change that or even want to.

One more post, Smiffy, and you should be able to advertize your kit! You see, we're not that bad to chat to!

Re: hello and err goodbye?

Good point.
I'll wait until Sunday now as I have just managed to book tickets to the Olympic park for tomorrow after trying all week and have an early start.
Hockey minor placing games but I just want to have a good look around the park while the games are on.

Re: hello and err goodbye?

Strange, my E-3 produces 57MB files without interpolation.
