Fisheye and the Moon

Not very often you get close enough to the Moon to use a fish eye lens! Just thought I'd have a play in the Derby cathedral exhibition of the Moon. Gravitational distortion anyone?

Re: Fisheye and the Moon

I was intrigued by the blue lights, uplighters I guess...……

I wonder what cheese they made the moon from.....Derbyshire Blue (!) ??

Must be the real thing, I can't see how it is supported....

The fisheye works very well Phill………….

Re: Fisheye and the Moon

Great use of the fisheye Phill. More importantly though, is it actually made of cheese?

Sent from my cracked folding Samsung.

I'm envious of the photo op, the fish did it proud.

The first is indeed a cracking picture and I agree with the comments on not seeing the way that it is held up … looks like a great event

Impressive!

Would have been good being there though.

Re: Fisheye and the Moon

I'd go for the Blue Wensleydale as Wallace and Gromit can't be wrong

I'm not sure how it was suspended but if you look very closely you can see a black line in some of the images next to the suspended light. I do know it's not cheese though as apparently it's inflated and there is a small fan in the top constantly making sure it's fully inflated.

Maybe those 'black lines' are also a power source for the fan too.
There are some individuals that are cheesy & inflated though.

Re: Fisheye and the Moon

Proper Blue Wensleydale is gorgeous stuff, if you haven't tried it it's well worth seeking out. You can buy it online. I should add that I have no connection with the Wensleydale Creamery other than living in Wensleydale ; I first tried it when I lived down south though.
