Steel Day

Liked the light in this so took a few more. Won't bore you with any more.

Re: Steel Day

I'm certainly not bored and the light is dramatic but I'm unshure what my overall reaction to the shot is. I had a long look at it last night but in the end didn't comment as I couldn't form any definitive opinion. Looking at it again now I find I'm still in two minds. The subject matter is interesting but, unlike some of your "wide open vista" shots, there's almost too much going on and I find my eye darting all over rather than being drawn back to a main point of focus.

A thought-provoking picture. Keep them coming

Cheers,

JohnGG

Re: Steel Day

Thanks for the comment John. I agree, it is hard to make a comment on this. I suppose You either like or not but to sit between the two it is easier to say nothing. I was trying to make a similarity between the man made structures and the light of day. Maybe I should have gone the mono route..

Re: Steel Day

Thanks Jim. This was taken with the 40-150mm kit lens. I have to say this is a gem of a lens and so light.

Re: Steel Day

Really nice shot. I think you've definately made the best of a not typically attractive subject.
All the best,
Phil
