Night shot E3

The image was taken on Happisburgh beach last night under a full moon. I minute exposures around f5.6 using 14-54 lens. Mono selected for image and IS off though NR was on. Some buttons were easy to find by touch alone though trying to compose through the viewfinder with the lcd screen out meant the light from the lcd was in your face. I had to keep housing the screen when i set the shot up and then taking it back out to review the resultant image. Focusing was difficult, not surprisingly and in the end used manual. Taking pictures out of your comfort zone means you learn more about yourself, techniques and most importantly about the camera. Patience and practise are the words best used for the E3 in some difficult situations.

A good image given the conditions and a well balanced composition. Obviously tripod mounted and I guess anti-shock applied.

Night shooting with the E3 is not too daunting and can result in some dramatic images.

Have a look at my image below. It was composed having observed the halo effect achieved by light reflecting off wet branches that ran diagonally in front of the light.

This was shot hand held - greatly assisted by the lamp light of course.

Kind regards

I shot it RAW with my E3. Obviously had to be reduced to go in the gallery.
Thanks for your comment and i'll happily forward full size if you want.

Kind regards
