Extended Warranty Help

I have now received my EM-1 mkII and want to claim the extended warranty. I have registered the camera but there is a number to enter before pressing activate so where do I find this number?
I bought the camera mail order from WEX.

If it's the three year extended warranty, I got one for my EM-1, and it's a paid for option, and cost about 100.00. After payment they send you a package with details, and a number to enter.

You have to buy it, it's not free.

Re: Extended Warranty Help

But I think you should get an automatic 6 month extension when you register.

Re: Extended Warranty Help

This is where I get confused - is that then equal to a 5 1/2 year warranty, or just an extra 6 months more than the 2 1/2?

I have bought the service package but didn't see anything for the warranty.

Re: Extended Warranty Help

The service contact and the warranty are two separate things. The standard warranty is two years, but by registering you can increase that to two and a half - for free. An extension beyond that costs.

Re: Extended Warranty Help

Go here and login to your account (which you created when you registered the camera):
https://my.olympus-consumer.com/
Click at top left where it says "My products".
Click on the right pointing arrow below your product (the camera).
Now it shows you the warranty and the extended warranty they gave you.
