Olympus 12-40mm PRO & Sigma DG Plolariser 62mm

Having bought the 12-100mm (which does so far look like a lovely lens and will be my walk around lens) I cannot justify keeping the 12-40mm PRO. It has been my main lens for the last two years and produced some lovely photos is in excellent condition. It is unboxed, as it came in a kit with the EM1, but has the front and rear caps as well as the LSC-0918 bag/case.

I also have a Sigma DG Circular polariser (wide) which hasn't been used that much but works very well with this lens. Excellent condition and in protective box.

I would like to sell together at 450 inc RMSD
or 435 for the lens and 35 for the filter.
Pictures attached. Payment by online bank transfer.

Please let me know if you are interested or have any questions.

Thanks

Mark

So there's two 12-100's in Loughton.

Wonder if that's the highest percentage of any town in the UK at the mo.

Just remembered, Barr1e and Ann1e have one each.

Hi Andy

I saw you had been enjoying yours! Hasn't the Forest has been glorious this year - I hope you got some good shots. I haven't had too much time this year with work being busy but grabbed an hour or so the other week and was quite pleased with the result. (All taken with the 12-40!) I hope they show ok as was having trouble uploading and may have made too small to get them processed. Let me know what you think as I have admired your photos for quite a while.

Thanks

Mark

Thanks for the complement. Yes the forest has been good this year. Your pictures look fine if a little small.
I think the 12-100 is one step up from the 12-40.

I sold mine to finance the 12-100.

Good luck with the sale.

Re: Olympus 12-40mm PRO & Sigma DG Plolariser 62mm

Gents, is the 12-100 a genuine competitor to the 12-40?

The 12-40 is the single best performing and most versatile lens I have ever used taking everything into account including the excellent manual focus clutch and close-focus capability. I think it is a lens almost with no vices and almost reason enough to use a micro four thirds system.

(This is comparing it to Sony 16-70, 24-70, Canon 24-70 and 24-105 and probably a couple of others.)

Mal.

Mal,
So far I'd say - absolutely yes (unless low weight & size are critical requirements for you).
I agree that the IQ of the 12-40 is superb and I think that the 12-100 is as least as good, but coming to the 12-40 from being a 4/3 12-60 SWD addict I was disappointed with the shorter max FL..

Re: Olympus 12-40mm PRO & Sigma DG Plolariser 62mm

Still available, although there is some possible interest - does anyone want to treat themselves to a late Christmas present?

A genuinely lovely lens in as good as new condition - go on you know you want to...

Thanks and happy Christmas

Mark
