E-5 and HLD-4 grip

SOLD E-5 body 470 including RMSD by bank transfer or PayPal Gift to UK mainland

Much as I'd like to keep Oly's last ever DSLR, I'm not using it enough to justify it. It's hardly run in at 2,949 releases (150,000 rated life), and in very good condition. It comes with all the original accessories and box including leads, charger, strap, software CD, printed manual(!), original battery plus a spare third party one that charges in the Oly charger. Body cap, flash socket cover and the two port covers are present. Included are an 8GB and 4GB CF SanDisk cards (it also has an SD slot). If you've never handled one, they make M4/3 bodies all seem a bit flimsy. It's not small, but handles the larger 4/3 Pro lenses beautifully.

The body only has a minor wear mark below the grip and a tiny scratch below the Olympus logo. The LCD is unmarked, and the viewfinder clean. It has firmware 1.2. 1.3 is available, but only added support for SDXC cards larger than 48 GB as far as I know. I bought it new from SRS.

SOLD HLD-4 battery grip for E-3, E-30 and E-5 50 including RMSD by bank transfer or PayPal Gift to UK mainland

Immaculate and hardly used with box, manual and dry battery holder.

I'm keeping my old favourite 4/3 lenses for now, the 12-60mm, Oly 7-14mm f4 and 50-200mm with EC-14 as they all work pretty well on the E-M1, and hopefully the Mk II when it arrives!

Re: E-5 and HLD-4 grip

I suspect most people her have moved on to M4/3 already. The occasional E-5 goes for around 500 on eBay, so I thought 470 was a fair price without fees. If you are interested, PM me and see if we can find some common ground.

How much improvement does this have over the E3 .

The Raws from the E-5 have more potential, but both are sound.

Re: E-5 and HLD-4 grip

I had an E-620 (same sensor and engine as E-3) before my E-5 and can say the step up in image quality is very, very noticeable; dynamic range is improved too - well worth it.

Re: E-5 and HLD-4 grip

Hi Bruce,

This is Alan(Viking) from Shetland. I'm interested in purchasing your E5 at the price you are asking. However, I would like to pay by cheque. Obviously I accept that you would wait for the cheque to clear before sending me the camera. By the way RMSD works very well to Shetland as all such items go by air. Even first class post from England can arrive the next day. If this is acceptable please let me have your address so I can send the payment.

Regards,

Alan

Hi Alan,

Thanks, it would be nice to think of the E-5 being used in Shetland. I was up doing the North Coast 500 recently.

We can do a cheque, but I believe I need to wait 6 days after it has cleared to be sure. I'm off to France on 10 July for a week. How about a bank transfer at your bank? I could then get it off before I leave?

I'm heading home this afternoon, and will check out postage when I get back this evening.

Probably best to move to PM to complete.

Regards,
Bruce

Re: E-5 and HLD-4 grip

Hi Bruce,

Excuse my ignorance but what is PM? I live quite away from my bank in Lerwick so a cheque is easier. I'm happy to wait till you are back from France.

regards,

Alan

Lovely Nigel, but probably worth starting your own thread, or people might not see it, and if I sell my grip, I'll be putting sold after the name.

I have now deleted the offending posts and will advertise it on eBay.

Thank you.

Thanks Nigel, keeps the thread tidier. Why not try again here, it's generally a much nicer place to sell?

You would think so wouldn't you, but I got a load of abuse by PM the last time I tried, which is why I hitched a lift.

It all started off innocently enough with a PM asking me to confirm the camera's age, history, details and prices. This was followed by several fairly abusive messages suggesting that the camera was effectively worthless, that I was trying to rip people off and was a complete ******* for doing so.

All in all it seemed so much hassle, and with so little genuine interest in the camera that I thought it would be better to keep it until your thread shone a light in the darkness.

Anyhow, hitching a lift seemed a good idea at the time but in hindsight was completely misjudged, so please accept my sincere apologies.

Hi Alan,

I sent you a PM with my address. Could you confirm here or with a PM that you are sending a cheque please?
