Re: 7-14mm

Do not sell the 7-14mm lens to buy the EM1 - definitely get the EM1 but not by selling the lens. Once you have sold the 7-14mm you will never be able to justify buying another but you will miss it for those infrequent occasion.

However YMMV

True words have never been spoken Derek, I sold my 14-54mm convinced I would not miss it, and just two days ago I bought another.

I coveted the 7-14mm in the summer, (what is it about camera gear that makes us go crazy)

I have put my Land Rover up for sale now and used the 7-14mm to take shots of the inside.. I will wait for an em1

You have changed my mind and I shall keep the 7-14mm.

Re: 7-14mm

I have thought about selling my 7-14 but even though it is big and bulky, the IQ is stunning. With the m43rds one likely to cost probably 1200 plus, I can live with mine for the odd times I use it. I could not justify the new one.

Re: 7-14mm

Probably my favourite lens. It's a big old beastie, but gives a sense of occasion wielding it. I often use the grip on the E-M1 to improve the handling with it. The focus got a bit vague on it after many years, but a quick (and cheap) trip to Portugal got it back to how I remember.
