My latest camera

Here is my latest camera which I bought at the weekend. I need to take another frontal shot I was interrupted by the phone and meant to take another at a lower angle.
Its an Olympus-35 SP. Shown with my XZ-1

Re: My latest camera

Past classic meets future classic? I once had a 35RC but would have loved an SP. Yours appears to be a very nice example.

Re: My latest camera

I walked into the shop with an open mind and asked for something interesting using film for under 100.

I was shown a few thnigs including another ensign selfix 820. When I was showed this I made my mind up instantly. I had a roll of film in it before leaving the shop.

Re: My latest camera

To see the camera look HERE

This didnt go well from outset as it apears I loaded the wrong. After about 20 shots it picked up and started to work OK. I thought it was faulty but that was me.

These are on Parton beach but I am happy with them.

Re: My latest camera

Have you scanned these yourself, Alf, or did the developer do it for you?

Re: My latest camera

I use Photo Express in Hull for developing. For 5 they will process your print film and scan it (return postage included). I have always found them to be fast and reliable and the scans allow for good quality A4 prints. The downside is that since the Post Office changed their pricing structure it now costs 2.70 to send a film first class as opposed to about 58p before the changes.

For slide film I use E6processing.co.uk. They are more expensive but their scans are better quality. I have just sent away some of their scans to print to 18"x12". This might be pushing it a wee bit but it will be interesting to see what the results are like.

Re: My latest camera

My scanner is on an all in one printer/scanner and scanned at 1200 dpi but I am not that impressed by them.
