Lightroom 3 Help

I have just purchased Lightroom 3 and I am on a learning curve .
I have noticed that only RAW photos are shown on default settings and I can change that to import RAW + JPEG .
However I noticed that the RAW only images show + jpeg when highlighted.
Is the jpeg image accessible there or do I have to import both from the start.
I ask this because I shoot RAW normally but with the PEN I do use filters on a regular basis.
Thanks in advance
John

Re: Lightroom 3 Help

Got to Edit > Preferences and tick the last box in the import section.

As to the ones already imported you will have to remove them NOT Delete them from the catalog and then re-import them to see both Raw and Jpeg images.

By following what Paul suggests your JPEG files will be treated as separate images to your RAWs and so both will show up in the library. If you don't select this option as you are finding only the RAWs show in the library, but the matching camera JPEGs will also have been imported. After changing the setting you need to re-sync the folders in which you have previously imported RAW+JPEG and they will appear in the Library and can be edited separately from the RAW as required.

Not sure this will work Ian, at least it never did in LR2, as when you re-synced it still treated the unseen jpegs as already imported and still never showed them.

Worth a try though as it may now work in LR3.
