Domke F2 in leather

I've just won this beautiful bag on eBay. Really chuffed, I never knew they had released the F2 in leather instead of the usual canvas. Not cheap but, hey, I'm allowed to be a fashion victim

I've always been a fan of the Domke F2. When I got my Dad's camera kit after he passed away, there was his old F2, sand colour, which he got in the late 70's.

Over the years, I've had many different photo bags, whether Olympus, Billingham... to the more recent Crumpler, and even aluminium cases. But I always go back to the F2, it's just the perfect size for me. So finding that leather one was almost like finding the grail of photo bags for me.

So what's your favourite bag?

Re: Domke F2 in leather

Heh,

I saw that too. I've also tried lots of bags but keep coming back to my Domke F2. It's just perfect for me. I've got a black one and a sand one.

I've got a Lowepro rucksack, and two Tamrac rucksacks but hardly ever use them. I ought to put them on e-bay sometime soon. A Peli case and a couple of Lowepro shoulder bags. But hey it's the Domke I always reach for.

Enjoy your bag.

Billingham Hadley (I have 2) and Millican Stephen (for small stuff).

Also have a Kata 3N1 30 (unused regrettably) and a Mekko backpack (just used for storage).

Got a Lowepro Orion Trekker which I used to use a lot but now just sits in a corner sulking.

Too many bags, or is that an oxymoron?

The Kata looks the business if you need to take a lot of gear with you.

The Tenba Pro Paks, I've got a P595 from 1980, a P895 from 1986 and a P795 from 1989.

I've never found a bag as good as the Pro Paks and wish I'd managed to get a P995 before Tenba stopped making them.

Lowepro Apex 140AW. Holds a body, two lenses and the extra gubbins comfortably and isn't much larger than the single camera cases/bags prevalent nowadays.
