Anyone know anything about these.

A friend of my wife's was clearing out her late fathers cupboards and found these and passed them on to me.

Also an Nikon F-301 film SLR.

All are clean apart from a bit of dust on the outside. I think they're Nikon F mount?
I assume I could get an adapter to 4/3 or m4/3. Wondered if its worth having a play. I quite like the idea of the 50mm f1.4.

Re: Anyone know anything about these.

It might help if you can show us a photo of one of the lens mounts, Andy.

Re: Anyone know anything about these.

I wasn't thinking so much about the mount as if anyone has any experience of use this type of lens, but your right I should have shown the mount.

Here we go

From doing a bit of reading I believe they're know as AIS lenses(well the Nikon ones are).

Re: Anyone know anything about these.

The primes should be fine (fine primes). Probably not the zooms though.

Re: Anyone know anything about these.

Both the primes are highly regarded. The photo of the mount shows a pre ai lens. They will mount via an adapter.

Thanks. Think I might have a punt at a cheap adapter next month.

Re: Anyone know anything about these.

Also in the box was a Fuji s6500 bridge camera. This takes 4 AA batteries which had been left in the camera for I don't know how many years and corroded.
Took a bit of cleaning and fiddling but it now works.
Takes surprisingly good pictures in Raw. I'll let my wife use this on the rare times she uses a camera as my old UZ760 she was using has given up the ghost.

Re: Anyone know anything about these.

Yes the Nikon primes are highly regarded. I've used the 50 F1.4 on film and digital and it was a stellar performer as 50mm primes often are.

The Sigma zoom is from an era when cheap zooms weren't all that but you never know if it's used on a sensor 1/4 of the area of full frame.

The 50 and 24 Nikons would sell well on Ebay or wherever if you didn't want them.

Mal.
