I think the next version's going to be called "Naked Lady", so don't bother looking if you see any threads thus named.

Thanks for the warning, but at my age I think I'd rather see pictures of Yosemite anyway!

There was a forest fire 2 days before this the upper valley was helecopter evacuated

1st afternoon looking into upper Yosemite

Next morning in the valley

And as it cleared a bit the choppers were visible

No Mac's were harmed in the preparation of these pictures for display it was all done on a PC so sorry I can add nothing useful to the real thread and sorry for butting in

Regards
Andy

Re: Yosemite

No worries. It looks the sort of place to go on an accompanied photo tour. Can't see that happening for me!

Re: Yosemite

Thanks Andy, that's sort of what I was hoping to see! The fire certainly made the views different from usual, I hope it didn't cause too much devastation although I suspect it did. I also hope it didn't spoil your holiday too much. Thanks for posting.

I think I'll wait until the problems surface and are resolved.

Re: Yosemite

Looking at the spec, there is nothing in Yosemite which I need or want, apart from the option of a dark background to the dock. It all seems to be about integrating all my other devices (I don't have any!) I will probably install it later to keep my computer up to date and secure but I will wait to check that my copy of Photoshop CS4 will continue to run without problems.

Re: Yosemite

No, I don't think there's any "must have" changes. I'll probably put it on the Macbook to start with. Always useful to be reasonably up-to-date, for security patches etc.

Re: Yosemite

I've updated, no problems so far, all seems to be working. Currently stripping out foreign language files. Photoshop CC working ok, as is Lightroom.

Re: Yosemite

Thanks Paul. Still waiting for the download to the Macbook to complete. 5Gb - a mere 3 hours!

How do you identify the foreign language files and strip them out?

Re: Yosemite

I smell a conspiracy! My wi-fi connection has been working perfectly for months. When I started up the computer a little while ago the message came up that an update was available if I wanted it. I declined for the time being and, since then, my wi-fi has been dropping out intermittently. Whom do I sue?

Re: Yosemite

Stephen
I use a programme called "Monolingual" and another called "Xslimmer" to route out un-nessessary files.
You will be surprised how much disc space is wasted. Saved about 1/3rd disc capacity.
Hope this helps
