Wisley, RHS in the Glass Houses is just a bit of water a Waterfall. I had lots of fun with ONE and Water

The Power of this ONE brings me so much fun and its ability to amaze me never ceases Enjoy !

The really fast images, show the most amazing patterns and even colours including blue refracted from the light, sky and glass

To the human eye, it is just a Waterfall

A great opportunity to explore the effects of different shutter speeds on moving water.

Re: Water, just Water

Thanks a lot Chevvy for revealing the actual structure of moving water in which its real beauty resides.

I am not a fan of the worn out 'silky effect" that we learnt at photography school as a Camera One exercise.

Hi Brian, Alf, John, Mark and Bill Thank You for stopping by and your kind comments

Water is such FUN and this was a great opportunity to explore so many settings. I think I most prefer the fast images especially those with the blue patches in

Re: Water, just Water

Great set of water fetish photos Chevvy

A real contrast between the slow & fast shutter speeds and all in between and the changing patterns are interesting.

Ian, your so right ! I do have a "Water Fetish"

My reason for posting so many, was perhaps it would inspire a few to "Twiddle Settings" and explore their images captured

Re: Water, just Water

#1 and #8 a I like to see water in its environment rather than an abstract. The beauty of water is its movement in nature.

Hi Jeremy I am glad you enjoyed these I am just fascinated how Nature can create such beautiful patterns in "just water" as the blue abstract images evidence with the help of the ONE, of course

Re: Water, just Water

A lovely set of images Chevvy.

To answer your question, Nos 2,3 and 4 stand out for me,but then I just love abstracts.

Intrigued to see what range of settings you used I had a look at the EXIFs.
Previous replies seem to have assumed that you used a range of shutter speeds but in fact you only only used two, 1/20sec and 1/1250sec.

What you have changed is the aperture between f2.8 and f20.
To be honest at the distance that you were shooting at for this subject I don't think the different apertures actually make much difference, they are just very nice shots.

BTW shots 1 and 7 are the same image.

Thanks for sharing.

Ooops ! sorry about the duplication

I tend to forget what "settings" I used ... and I have to check exif from time to time ... although I am quite a creature of habit I did used various settings between those you refer to, however it seems I did not post the variety I believed I did

Still, the captured images, fascinated me greatly Glad you enjoyed these too
