Smile Greetings from Bristol

Hi Everyone

I used to own an Olympus OM1n SLR back when I was 18 (now 40+) & found they were a great camera, so when I decided to get back in to photography again in 2008, it was my first choice.

Despite checking out the offerings from the Canikon ranges, I still found the Olympus my brand of choice and purchased the E-520 from Bristol Cameras. This came as a kit with the 14-42mm and 70-300mm lenses.

Up until 5-6 months ago, apart from the purchase of the 40-150mm, thats all the kit I had. I then discovered that Olympus had withdrawn from the beginner & intermediate end of the DSLR market leaving the E-5. However, I wanted to keep going with Oly & decided to stock up on 2nd hand kit.

I have since purchased an E-420, E-30 and E-600 bodies together with a plethora of lenses - 9-18mm, 14-45mm, 35mm, 12-60mm & 50-200mm. I think I am getting a little obsessed with kit purchase of late. I think my wife should confiscate my credit/debit cards

Despite taking many photos over the last few years, posting a number on Flickr, I don't seem to have had many "comments" from the electronic community, but my wife, friends and family seem to like what I take. I hope I am steadily improving and learning the art of composition and content.

I work in IT and like to take all sorts of photos, though I don't do people portraits or "studio" type stuff.

Regards to all

Colin

You're not alone in stocking up on Oly kit while you can. Good luck.
