Question iAUTO is making me lazy

Whenever I put my camera away after use, I have always re-set it back to whatever settings make it most easily used in a "grab" situation. In the old days, it was always 1/125 @ f/8

With the introduction of Auto and now iAUTO on these clever little cameras, more and more I find myself using iAUTO for shots and getting some really good results and leaving it there.

Today I even found myself using the quick adjust facility of iAUTO for a backlit subject rather than using an exposure compensation. This of course is made even easier with the use of the EVF, as the effect can be seen, which would not be the case with a conventional DSLR.

Is it just me or are you too using these "clever" modes more often

Re: iAUTO is making me lazy

The closest I get to a 'clever' mode is aperture priority.
