Emerald Damsel

The most beautiful, IMO, of all the Damsels, so dainty and for this reason so hard to find. Yesterday in a favourite location I could only find male Emeralds:

But today I found only females:

Re: Emerald Damsel

Lovely shots David, have to agree that Emeralds are one of the nicest Damsels, I particularly like the coppery orange patches on them, in the sun they're like burnished bronze. The Banded Demoiselles are pretty amazing too with the iridescent blues and greens they have.

Re: Emerald Damsel

Nice one David...
I had my first one yesterday at "The Bog" near Long Mynd in Shropshire - could not believe how long the body is....makes it even harder to get all in focus.
Also I saw my first Black Darter - Male and Female - a beautifully small Dragon, especially the female.
I cannot show you them as my computer is now totally full and I cannot process any more images.
