How to put filters on the 7-14

Here's an ingenious idea for all you 7-14 owners, how to make a filter holder for the lens. I haven't tried it but certainly worth a go.

Thanks Paul, yes I too saw that on dpr and shall certainly give it a go. It looks like a neat and tidy solution, shame you can't go to 7mm without vignetting but I guess you can't have everything, lets face it 8mm is pretty wide anyway

I suspect there's another way that may even work at 7mm but I'm to cheap to spend the money to find out.

Re: How to put filters on the 7-14

The one time I tried using a filter on the 7-14, I simply held the filter in front of the lens. Admittedly I was not concerned about stray light etc., and it was just a try out (much like holding sunglasses over the lens of a compact camera)

I think if I wanted to do this more often then, I'd simply DIY a holder from balsa wood rather than have something that don't quite do the full job.
