Self timer

Can anyone please help me to find the self timer? I have searched the manual and even with pages given, no reference to self timer can be found.

Re: Self timer

Press "OK", use the arrow keys to navigate to the shutter mode, pres "OK" again then use the arrow key to select the timer period you want, 12s, 2s or custom. Job done.

Re: Self timer

Thanks again. My selection button brings up the live menu and I cant see how to reach the shutter mode. I have tried in exposure to set the speed up to 60 but I still can't find self timer. Can you please offer any further suggestion. I am beginning to think there is something strange about my camera!

Re: Self timer

In the Super Control Panel you select the shutter mode in the box under WB and next to Flash.
Chances are it's set to single shot (single rectangle) - select that and scroll past the burst modes to get to 12 sec or 2 sec self timer (and other options).

Re: Self timer

It's on Page 57 of the E-M10 Mark 2 manual here.

I suspect that the other references are to the E-M1ii manual?

Re: Self timer

Well that's great. Thank you, I now have self timer.
Another problem has occurred. The display shuts off after a few seconds. Oh what have I done!?.

Re: Self timer

Cog - K - Utility - Quick sleep mode and turn it off. It seems to be a default in the EM10ii.
