Help with EXIF

Hello all,

I need assistance

I have entered my photos to Jonesgi (Graydon), for the end of year challenge but they do not have the Exif attached. I have checked with what I can, photos on memory stick checked on desktop pc all ok. All ok on laptop but I even tried sending myself via email to other pc no Exif .

I have resized using Elements 6 and also Olympus Master both with no success. I have not had this problem before when entering other competions on the site. The Exif is there when I have done the resize.

So I would like to thank Graydon for his patience and time with this problem. If anyone can assist me thanks in advance

Ian

Re: Help with EXIF

How are you 'sending' ?

By going direct into outlook e-mail and attaching/inserting

From your picture editing application?

From another e-mail client/on-line e-mail service

Re: Help with EXIF

If you save the files using "Save for web" (Photoshop) you will lose the EXIF data. You need to select "Save as" option. Not sure if this is what you have done or not.

Re: Help with EXIF

Hello

Since my last post I have sent Graydon another photo from my desktop and this one is ok with Exif attached. The only thing that comes to mind is some new software when I was using my laptop and was attaching on my yahoo email which was to be quicker. That maybe me problem will investigate in the morning and keep you informed

Re: Help with EXIF

Since my last post I have managed to send Graydon copies of images with all Exif attached.

On my Yahoo mail page I have a attach at the top above the address bar, using this one is fine

But if I use the one at the bottom of the page which is the new software ( suppose to be easier and quicker) it works but with no Exif data.

So I know which one to use

All the best for the new year

Ian

Hi

I know this problem has been sorted, but if anyone needs any further help, the following link explains it all clearly. At least, it worked for me I hope!
