Proper Test of new 40-150 F2.8

Here is a proper test of the new lens. Sharp even by prime lens standards.....

Re: Proper Test of new 40-150 F2.8

It looks stunning. For me though, I don't use long lenses enough to justify this sort of money. The 50-200 I picked up recently was significantly cheaper and has excellent IQ too (although probably a notch under the 40-150). It's also bigger and heavier of course. Still, it'll do me for the time being.

This finally did it for me, that and Robin Wong's excellent write up.

Edit: The Pro line up is looking to be excellent, I'm wondering when the 7 -14 f/2.8 and 300 f/4 will be released?

Re: Proper Test of new 40-150 F2.8

I do miss a longer focal length that I had with my 400mm Canon & the 300mm f2.8 Not used much I agree but when I do use them I expect quality & until now been disappointed with that on offer. So will this hit the spot, well my friend has ordered it & the1.4x converter & I have booked a weeks testing with him.
