Shock E-M1 revelation!

Despite all the furore over the last couple of weeks, I have found that the E-M1 doesn't only take BIFs!

My first outing, and not a BIF in sight!

All taken with the 17mm f1.8 lens, raw files processed in Lightroom (except the last one), and uncropped. Still setting the camera up, so I am hoping for improvements.

ISO200, f2.5, 1/30

ISO200, f5.0, 1/5

ISO200, f3.5, 1/6, Grainy film effect (the only jpeg)

Nice set but I think you're setting a bad example by posting considered images rather than happy snaps from the new camera.

Like the pictures, the first one seems to have a 3D effect.

Looks like someone shot the shed with a Canon

Interested in your use of the 17mm as it's one I tried but don't have.

All taken at the bottom of the neighbours "back garden", which we have free access to. Dibnah loves running round the Grove, as we call it.

Re: Shock E-M1 revelation!

OK, specially for Weeman, here's a JRIFOF shot. (Jack Russell in Front of Fire).

This is an out-of camera jpeg, cropped slightly, in which the lighting was an awkward mix of low-wattage bulbs, firelight, and dusk from the window. Oh, and light from the telly! I think the AWB coped quite well.

No 2 is very impressive and so is Dibnah in front of the fire.
