Pop up flash can be very useful. Quite a serious omission seeing that almost all other cameras have them. Still a fab looking camera. Can't wait to see it in the flesh - roll on Focus!

That was my doing (in respect for this forum & Ian), although I still left a link embedded on "here", but if you want to look at them some more, here are 2 more front & back links.
http://photorumors.com/wp-content/up...mera-front.jpg

This is going to be a nice camera with it's options & I can't wait to learn the facts from the right source (here & Olympus, as well as others unbiased reviews) as soon as they are released.

Not a problem, they're floating all over the web anyway.

They were deleted by a moderator on another 4/3 forum where I got my wrist slapped for pointing out how the heavy handed moderation had made the forum very quiet since they banned one of the most experienced photographers on the site.

I didn't realise that the pro spec Nikons and Canons had pop-up flashes.

Re: OMD - EM5 (Again)

Dang!

Today's pictures: http://www.43rumors.com/

That thing looks so much like my ideal DSLR. I always wanted a digital camera that looked like an old quality SLR, and an OM shape will do nicely. Finally someone started listening....

I'm fine with no flash. A twist and tilt screen would have been better than a tilt only screen but hey ... it is a thing of beauty.

I just hope it turns out to be (a) Somewhere near as good as all this hype and (b) something I can afford eventually.

Pete

Re: OMD - EM5 (Again)

I don't get the "looks" thing.

Surely it is about image quality mainly, coupled with ergonomics?

Well, I'm assuming it can produce images as good as my E-PL3, which is pretty good in my books. I'm also assuming I can use my current 4/3 lenses with a m43 adapter. Given these two, then I'm sure the image quality will be good enough for me

Oh, if it has any of the feel of the E-1 then that would be just great..

There, I've done it. We're now officially a rumour site!

The pressure, the pressure

This is reminiscent of the days we used to drive cars about with hardboard disguise covers and were not allowed to say a word to the reporters...

Apparently Ian has been going about with a large cardboard box over his head, with a lens cut out hole at the front.

I wonder if any e-group members managed to catch him and get a picture?

That would be an absolutly brilliant picture...

Surely someone can Photoshop that one up.

To cap it all, I got an e-mail today, saying I can't test drive the new 2012 BMW until after the "Launch Date" on the 11th...
