Sony Releases new M4/3 sensor fact sheet

Will this be in the EM1MkIII?

https://www.43rumors.com/sony-releas...or-fact-sheet/

https://www.sony-semicon.co.jp/produ..._LQJ_Flyer.pdf

I think there's a strong possibility it will or some variant.

Re: Sony Releases new M4/3 sensor fact sheet

Looks interesting.

If I read it correctly the frame rate is lower than the current cameras (at 24fps) rather than the 60 used on the E-M1ii

Are the focussing sensors separate to the image sensors as there's no mention of this, I thought the current EM series used on chip focussing?

Well, it is 47Mp, Paul! The Leica Q2 is the same and only manages 20fps with electronic shutter and 10 with mechanical.

Interesting but it is described as "Application: Surveillance, FA cameras, Industrial cameras" though (for both monochrome & colour).

They have form for that particular description where the sensor then ends up in a consumer camera. That said, unless something revolutionary is on the way, 47MP does seem over the top.
