Tewet tarn cold morning mono

Here is a shot I have been trying get processed for about 2 weeks I think I have a decent version of it now.

It was pretty dull and the breaks in the cloud just did not line up for me. The only sunlit part of this shot is a small patch of cloud.

What do you think?
Ps asking to see the colour version to see if you prefer it is not going to get an answer from me

Great sky and reflections. I think that lone tree is what makes the image though.
Excellent.

I like the snowy ground and mountains in the left half of the picture.

Great shot and the lone tree plus the reflections stand out for me.

I know the colour version would just be rubbish....

B/W works, but only just......

Re: Tewet tarn cold morning mono

For me it's a nice shot with loads of fine detail that needs to be viewed large Alf. Not sure what your objection to the colour version is but the B&W does work pretty well. I know it's a nice moody misty shot but I would just have liked to see a bit more definition in the hill on the lhs as it disappears into the mist. My eye just seems to get drawn to it somehow.

Re: Tewet tarn cold morning mono

I think this is a shot that would work well with the composition based on the Fibonacci Spiral/Golden Ratio

Your original is very close to being a "Golden Rectangle" and with a very small crop, could put the tree spot on the origin of the spiral.

I have to say I prefer the cropped version - seems more dramatic

Thanks Graham

I can see that but I prefer to lose the grass and snow on the left

Re: Tewet tarn cold morning mono

Only just spotted this comment. Cropped as Graham suggested is nice but it would loose the reeds in the foreground which I think would be a shame. I prefer it with the reeds.
