Infrared-converted Canon compact

Apologies – not an Olympus item, but I know there are some here who might like to dip a first toe in the waters of Infrared photography with an IR-converted compact, so … hope this is permitted!

Canon Powershot G11 compact, converted by ACS with a 720nm internal IR filter, capable of providing false colour and/or B&W images (depending on processing). Shoots just like a normal compact, except in IR. The full specs for the G11 can be found here, but in short – 10Mpix, 28-140mm equivalent lens, RAW/JPEG, fully articulated screen.

Comes with original box, USB cable, AV cable, battery, charger, wrist strap, neck strap. A few scuff marks on the back of the closed screen, but screen itself and lens in perfect condition.

I’m asking £250 (inc. UK delivery, next day, tracked) – which was the price of the conversion alone, so you’re essentially getting the camera for free. Great little compact, can be all-auto, various program modes, or fully manual.

If you’ve ever thought about having a go at infrared photography, hesitate no more … this is how I dipped my first toe in the water, and was hooked!

Please pm if any interest. Illustrative shots and a couple of sample outputs below.
