An hour in the Park

Hi there everyone!

I haven't posted any pictures for a while, as I haven't had a lot of time to wander round with my camera of late. I did however manage to get an hour away from DIY and car maintenance on Monday, so headed off to Birkenhead Park in search of some Autumn colours. It's not quite there yet - we've had a lot of mild weather so far, but it is starting to come:-

With the colours not quite being ready I decided to chase the squirrels in the hope of a nice picture - here's some of the highlights:-

And a couple of pictures too - the pigeon that scared away the squirrels:-

And a duck on the pond that I swear was laughing at me:-

Thanks for looking, any comments welcome!

Cheers,

Ralph.

Re: An hour in the Park

That's a good location, Ralph, the pagoda-style bridge is really attractive. Nice pictures of the local wildlife, too.

Nice shot of the bridge showing off the beginning of Autumn. Perhaps a return visit is in order when the leaves have fully turned?

Re: An hour in the Park

The bridge reflection is my favourite, nicely framed by the greens and the water.

Re: An hour in the Park

Hi there everyone!

Thank you for the comments John, OmUser and Beagletorque. The park can be a great place to spend some time, and the bridge is lovely, despite some idiots (polite version) trying to burn it down a few weeks ago. They started a fire on the deck of the bridge which has damaged the inside of the bridge timber, but the outside has survived with little scorching.

I'll hopefully be able to get back there sometime in the next few weeks as the leaves turn a little more, although it is still very mild here (17 degrees Celsius tonight at 9pm as I drove to work!)

Even if the weather and the trees don't co-operate it is still nice to be out and about with a camera - even if i have to squeeze it into an odd hour here or there.

Cheers,

Ralph.

Good to hear you are out and about, like the shot of Adam the duck ( strategically placed leaf?)
