Question How long has the LH-55C been available for the 12-50 lens?

I received an ebay email promoting items that may interest me (similar to my searches) & I noticed the JJC LH-J55C lens hood was available for the 12-50 lens that had previously only had the LH-55B available. How long has Olympus had the LH-55C available?
http://www.olympus.co.uk/site/en/c/c...55c/index.html

Thanks for any helpful replies (& others too).

Re: How long has the LH-55C been available for the 12-50 lens?

Does anybody else have one of these hoods (Olympus or JJC copy) for their 12-50 lens?

Hi Ross. There is a reference to the LH-55C in this article, below the photo of the 40-150 Pro. It appears to be a relatively new introduction.

Thanks for that Ron. I'll see how good the JJC copy is when I get it & whether or not I should have got the original Olympus LH-55C or not.

Re: How long has the LH-55C been available for the 12-50 lens?

I remember it being announced a few months ago along with another announcement of something more important - maybe the E-M1. I have been on the look out for one or better still a JJC clone ever since as the existing 12-50 hood does not shield much

Here's one ebay supplier ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lens-Hood-LH...-/201011547707 ), but I would search for other options with the best feedback. I would not touch these suppliers as they have too low a feedback for my liking, but there are others.
