The Pantomime Season is here again ...

... Oh no it's not! But it is!

From our canal walk today - he's behind you!

1.

This dog lives on one of the narrowboats and unlike most dogs and cats resident on the boats, he seemed keen to have a portrait taken today -

2.

and, finally, just as I was returning home along the towpath from the town yesterday, this little soul obligingly perched on a fence which has given me a great opportunity to wish everyone -

A Merry Christmas, Season's Greetings, Happy Holidays
and a very Happy New Year!

3.

All taken with the OM-D, E-M1, 75-300mm lens.

Regards,
Ann1e

Sorry to be picky - but is the dog picture slightly pink - see other comments on EM1 and pinkness.

What wonderful shots you get on your towpath Annie.
The first and especially the last are so nicely composed, love the way you vignetted it as a Christmas Card - and Wishing you a very merry Christmas and many more cracker images with the EM-1 in the New Year.

I would not call your comment picky at all - you are expressing a valid opinion. I know there has been comment on the site on EM-1 colour but I have not experienced any problems myself and I am not seeing this picture on my monitor as being pink - with the exception, of course, of the rather fine pink collar!

Ann1e

Thank you Mark and all good wishes to you and your family for Christmas and the New Year.

We are just so lucky to have the canal right on our doorstep. We have lived in the same town for over 30 years but used to live a mile from the towpath at the top of a steep hill, so our walks were never as spontaneous as they are now!

Ann1e

Thank you Chevvy - the herons can be quite amusing as they generally seem oblivious to what's going on in the vicinity, unless it involves fish or rodents! I was lucky to happen on the robin, having gone out for a short walk and seen nothing of particular interest until almost home.

I hope you have a very Happy Christmas and good wishes for 2014!

Regards,
Ann1e

Lovely shots and please pass my good wishes on to your other half. Can you tell me were to purchase the decoy herons? I am sure that one of these is the same one on the canal bank last week? Both of you have a good Christmas and I am looking forward to your canal bank visits next year.

Thank you Ed - good wishes passed on.

I think our next canal bank visits will definitely be next year judging by today's weather - torrential rain and very strong winds, although I don't think we have had quite the worst of it here ... yet!

Good wishes to you and yours.

Ann1e
