Ever considered buying from DigitalRev?

You know the place with the popular (and some say amusing) videos on YouTube, where a character called 'Kai' reviews various camera kit with a kind'a off the wall style.

Well here's an interesting little story.....

Re: Every considered buying from DigitalRev?

I've used them a lot for small bits like lens caps, but it's both fascinating and disturbing to see this report.

Must admit it was a bit of a shocker to read, looks like they've been caught with their pants down.

Re: Every considered buying from DigitalRev?

I must admit that I do watch and enjoy Kai's antics (usually while wondering how much of it is put on for the cameras) but that is a pretty poor show...

What an ugly thought!

I was going to get an HLD-4 from them but they cancelled the order because they couldn't get stock. I got it from B&H instead.

Re: Every considered buying from DigitalRev?

Sorry to resurrect an old post but wanting to get the Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm f1.4 lens, I shopped around. DigitalRev are by far the cheapest at 269.00 and I am tempted. I know that previous reports have been less than flattering but in recent times there appear to be a lot od satisfied customers and they even appear to have a UK answering service.

Do you think it is worth the risk or should I look elsewhere more local?

Re: Every considered buying from DigitalRev?

Don't know what the original story must have been but I ordered a camera from them today...

Whatever it was I decided not tpo worry too much as I've bought quite abit of gear from them over the years. Few things from Panamoz too.

Never any issues.....so far.

Re: Every considered buying from DigitalRev?

Thanks. But if they charge tax, postage etc it could add up? I just found the same lens from Camera World at 349 and free UK delivery. I don't know what to do.
