Wildlife in Purbeck

A visitor to the patio tonight, a Common Toad. Hope he eats any slugs he (or she) finds.

Not on the radishes that are just coming up, I hope! He's pretty small so am wondering if he's young one. Don't know much about toads (of the hopping kind) and what they eat. We have a couple of buzzards nesting not far from here and hope they don't get it. Or do they not eat toads?

How about this. He/she lives in Kent so it might be better for your toad to find food a bit nearer home.

I bet you were close enough to kiss it!

Sorry about your camera, Dave. Never had these sort of problems with my Brownie Box. Just tramlines on the negs!

I rang LCE this morning, camera will be collected today. Not bad service, just hope they don't keep it for weeks.
